I am a keen amateur photographer, and a member of Wallasey Amateur Photographic Society for some years.
My main Cameras are Canon, a Canon EOS 20D & an EOS 300D camera,together with a Canon EOS 50E for slide work. Not that I have touched slide for a few years.
Born is Wallasey, Wirral, I have lived on the Wirral peninsular all my 70 years. I started photography when in my teens but let it drop for many years only returning to the hobby about 10 years ago.
I use a Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 IS. The image stabiliser makes a big difference to my chances of getting sharp, shake free, images. So recently I purchased a Canon EF-S, 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS lens and find it very good and these two lenses provide sufficient cover for most of my photography.
To cut down on the weight of equipment I carry around with me, I have started to use a Monopod. Not as good as a tripod but so much lighter.
